In the 1975 edition the game came with a list of 400 "Greatest Players" intended to be used as a draft pool. The plan was for a 16-team "superleague" with 25-man rosters.

A lot of greats have played Major League Baseball in the last 35 years, so I'm wondering whether the pool could be expanded without getting rid of any of the existing players -- which would enable four to eight additional teams.

This would not only apply to EI, of course, but the pool could be used in other games where player rating is feasible. The player would be rated based on the season cited (usually his best year).

That could definitely be arranged, last I checked, that was just a list of All Star seasons, mostly. We could either expand it, or use our new knowledge of baseball to redo it and cover all of baseball.
