Trying to get through as many of the League Scenarios as possible using a few extra rules to have some continuity between the games:

Devoured investigators are eliminated, never to return (bit obvious that one).
Any investigator knocked unconscious or driven insane gains an exhaustion token.
Investigators entering Final Battle gain 2 exhaustion tokens each.
At the end of a game, any investigator with 4 or greater exhaustion tokens must retire, never to return.
Upon completing a Scenario successful investigators gain an experience point each (xp).
xp may be spent as follows:
1 xp – retain one common item, unique item, spell or skill in lieu of one random item (i.e. common for common, spell for spell)
1 xp & 5 toughness Monster trophies or 1 gate token – 1 clue token.
1 xp & 5 toughness Monster trophies or 1 gate token – $3.
3 xp + 10 toughness Monster trophies or 2 gate token – retain an ally.

All items, skills, allies to be retained must actually be in the investigators possession at the end of the game.

First Scenario:
Fifth & Sixth:

AO is Y’Golonac and investigators are Darrell, Jenny, Wilson, Rita, Leo, Sister Mary, Bob and Mandy.

The strategy here is to stay away from the Unique Items as this leads to Tomes which increase the Doom Track.

Rounds 1 to 3
Gates open at the Woods and Ind. Sq. but two Double Doomers and Darrell drawing a Tome in an encounter meant the Doom track shot up early on (so much for my strategy). Both Bob and Jenny get driven insane early on.
DT – 7, TL – 2, Gates – 2, Seals – 0, Monsters – 2 (0 Kingsport).

Rounds 4 to 6
Two gates open at Hibb’s and The Witch House and there is a bounce at The Woods which had been sealed by Mandy. Darrell kills a Cultist moving the Terror Level up one to close the General Store and Rita seals Ind. Sq.
DT – 9, TL – 3, Gates – 2, Seals – 2, Monsters – 0 (2 Kingsport).
At this stage I am very worried. The Doom Track is very high and there are only 2 seals. Three more Doom Tokens and the AO awakens, yet I still need two more gates to open.

Rounds 6 to 9
A surge at Hibbs and two bounces at Witch House, which had been sealed by Darrell, and Ind. Sq. Corpses preserved turns up and all investigators fight their trophies successfully. In drawing Exhibit Items no Tomes turned up but Rita got Spirit Vessel, which allowed her to trade trophies for William Bain, reducing the DT by one. Bob has to draw a Unique Item and it’s an Elder Sign……fate smiles!
DT – 8, TL – 5, Gates – 1, Seals – 3, Monsters – 8 (2 Kingsport).

Rounds 10 to 14
It all got a bit hectic towards the end. Gates open at the Black Cave and the Unnameable and there are two surges at the Black Cave and a rift is opened and Disturbing the Dead Rumor shows up. Leo gets deputized with the help of Spirit Vessel and enters R’lyeh at the Black Cave. Sister Mary and Rita follow due to losing combat against a Nightgaunt. Sister Mary fails to return early, failing to cast Find Gate so Leo exits at the Black Cave and seals it with 1 die. A gate then opens at the Unnameable and Sister Maru exits there using Gate Box and seals with an Elder Sign to win the game.
DT – 9, TL – 10, Gates – 0, Seals – 6, Monsters – 8 (2 Kingsport).

So lucky with this one. The early Double Doomers were almost too much, Rita getting William Bain saved the day. Lucky also that Bob drew an Elder Sign instead of a Tome, which ultimately won the game for me. There was a bloodbath at the Black Cave at the end as two Cthonians appeared in the surges and with the penalty for losing stamina in this scenario so severe they had to be tackled immediately. Also really lucky that my few rolls for the Disturbing the Dead Rumor didn’t add any Doom Tokens after the TL hit 10. A lot of investigators took a bit of a battering, Darrell, Jenny and Bob all being forced to retire and Sister Mary on the cusp.

Mandy – Fight, .45 Automatic (+1 xt)
