 puh-LEASE! can we get something ''New & Hotness''? How's about 'MECHA-Streisand', or 'Michael Moore-the BLOB', perhaps even 'OPRAH-the creature who's the 'Black Moran'!? or why not some GIANT 'Panda' in a similiar role and call this: "Ping Pong"? oh! I got 'one', there's these breast-suckling creatures and we'll call those as: "MAMMpires" or the 'killer mannequin' in: "the DUMMY" and maybe even some creature of the English moors as: "the Woldman"?

Not really fair. New Line Cinema was so happy with the success with the LoTR trilogy that they rewarded director Peter Jackson with the chance to make the movie of his choice. King Kong is his favorite and he'd always wanted to do a remake. I don't begrudge him that, as he's paid his dues withn some of the loopiest, qiuirkiest movies that I've ever seen! (Meet the Feebles, The Frighteners, the one with the zombies who's name escapes me right now). I think after Kong, Peter will reward us with something original, something worthy of his talent.
Or not.

This movie supposedly is twice as long as the 90 minute original. Initial impressions from early screenings have been very positive; possibly the best monster movie ever made. I doubt that it can knock off Godzilla vs. Mothra, but we'll see.
