Greetings,

Since Roads and Boats seems to be far too expensive, and Antiquity looks like it will fit my needs for gaming goodness, does anyone know where I might be able to buy the game?

Mike

you can get it direct form Splotter at http://www.splotter.nl or from http://playme.de

It's a kick ass game with lots of fiddly bits... I love it..

Splotter no longer list it as "currently available" (so you can't order it).

PlayMe no longer list it (not even as temporarily unavailable).

Sounds OOP.

Unfortunately this won't help the original poster, but it might be useful to UKers wanting it. www.thegamesplayer.com are listing it, but they have a 'UK posting only' restriction on that particular game, presumably because of the big box size and weight. Can't say yet if they are any good, but our first order is apparently on it's way as we speak (not including Antiquity as we got that from Germany a while ago, but we're picking up Indonesia). Free shipping to UK for orders over £75 too.

This thing would have to be not only the number one game on BGG, but also *guaranteed* to produce an endorphin high similar to Bungee Jumping *EVERY* time I played it to make me spend $135 for it (and I assume that's a discounted price since it's on Boulder).

Some people might not realize that they've already spent over $135 on some other games, but just didn't drop it down in onw chunk like this would be. Settlers + Seafarers + Cities & Knights with the 5-6 player expansions for each of them totals $134.70 at Funagain before shipping. Heroscape plus all the expansions released so far is over $200. Add up some of the Warhammer stuff or CCGs and you're in the $100+ range without really buying much.

To be fair, that's not a discounted price at all. I bought mine for 70€, which is a lot, but it is still less than the local price for other monster games like Twilight Imperium 3, etc. And it's nowhere near $135.
