Likethis game quite a bit. However, it takes a little longer than is approrriate for the church game night I "volunteered" to run. What would be best way to shorten, while still giving all players the true flavour of game?

Thanks

That's weird. This bit used to mention Shire Games, and tell you all how wonderful we are. But it seems to have got deleted. Let's see what happens this time ....

Simply play with fewer cards.

Instead of having a deck of 40 cards for the game, go with 30 cards.

If you are not having fun, then you are missing the point.

This is he best way to shorten the game.

Another option (although less fun) is to hand-pick the cards (assuming that you're running the game, but not actively involved) so that they are easier. The players won't get as much opportunity to get creative in the first round, but it's still a great game.
