If Android had the same ratio of stuff to air in the box it'd be ten feet long!

You're going to need a place to put all the cards from those Data Packs you buy!

If you haven't caught on to the fact that in this hobby box size scales with MSRP and not with total volume of components by now, you either haven't bought many games or haven't been paying attention.

+ it's cheaper to make 100000000 boxes of the same size and use them for different products, than make box for each product.

Bigger box takes up more shelf space which is better for product placement and therefore sales. It's good marketing.

This, exactly. Coupled with the idea in most people's heads that bigger = more value.

MSRP is $40, so they used the $40 box size.

If only they'd start doing a box insert with some fixed dividers to make the box worth keeping instead of just moving to a card box.

Take a note from AEG's Thunderstone and Nightfall packaging, FFG!

All of the LCGs have the same box size. AFAIK It's so you can pack all your extra cards in the one box. Given that I have tons of cards for one of their other LCGs, this is one time I don't mind the box size.

Nope, that should read as card boxes for 800 cards, $2 each... Man, I would love to have a couple of these at the price. My card boxes cost me about $5 per box...

Then how about a smaller box inside the big one? Or are we meant to fold and tape together our own with the standard FFG insert (if it even qualifies as an isert at all). laugh
