Is the box the same size as the base game or smaller? Can all of the components from both games fit in either box?

All of the components from both games will fit in the new box, which includes a custom cardboard insert with bridges and dividers to keep things organized.

Yes, the box has room for sleeved cards. I personally measured out the amount of space needed for a full set of sleeved cards.
