FYI, I had some packs of Mayday card protectors.
The Standard American format ones were too small for my Descent cards to be slid in them without being bent - whereas same format FFG card protectors work fine.
The mini format Mayday protectors did work well.

So I would recommend using the FFG protectors - even if less cheap.

The "Chimera" Mayday card sleeves should be the right size for FFG games.

My problem was that Maday displayed the correct measures, but the sleeves were just too narrow.

That's because FFG measures the size of the card, and Mayday measures the size of the sleeve. A card is not going to fit inside a sleeve that is exactly the same size. That's why they offer the Chimera size, which I understand was specifically designed for FFG cards.

OK I see.
Strangely though, the mini card sleeves did fit FFG's mini cards.

I have just received my first order of Swan Panasia sleeves and can really recommend them - the 57*90mm sleeves fit like a glove, with 220 sleeves to a pack and cheaper than a pack of 50 sleeves from FFG...

I obviously cannot comment on their durability yet, but I have heard very good things about that, too.

And if you are in Germany contact the guys at http://smiling-monster.de/, their service was really great and quick.

Did you buy the Mini-USA ( 41 x 63 ) or Mini-Chimera (43 x 65 )?

I'm getting conflicting info here which ones are better.

The Mayday sleeves have a little bit of size variance. I haven't tried the mini-USA with FFG cards, but what I've heard in the past is that some will fit, and some will be too small.

I would suggest you either use the Mini-Chimera size (and accept that they may be a bit loose), or just get the better quality FFG sleeves.
