Well, the Kickstarter is over, but I still have one final decision to make:

Which multi-hex figure should I request as part of my Striker pledge-package? The Dreadball Mech, Nameless Spawn, Alpha Simian, or Barricade?

My understanding is that each of these can work with any Dreadball team. Based on their descriptions, Barricade sounds like he's only there for slamming opponents. The Alpha Simian sounds bashy as well. The Nameless Spawn's description implies that it can handle the ball as well as tying up opponents. The Dreadball Mech appears to be the human team equivalent of "decent at everything, but not great at anything." The mech also has a striker style glove on it, so presumably it can handle the ball as well.

I'm leaning towards the Nameless Spawn because I really like the look of the Nameless team, but I couldn't find any description of the race under the Warpath race descriptions. Another option might be Barricade as I will be starting with the Forge Fathers as my initial team and he seems to fit their motif the best.

Which multi-hex figure are you choosing and why?

The Mech for sure. It best represents the game IMHO.

I got all of them...

It looks to me like the Alpha Simian has a glove, so I would guess it can handle the ball. Not so much on Barricade, though.

Picked Alpha for my freebe.
Went
1 Spawn
2 Mechs
2 Baracades above that

And while they can play with any team,
Mine will be painted to match a specific team for each.
They will be a permanent part of their roster.

Which teams does everyone think the multi-hex characters fit best with?

The obvious ones are:

Humans - Dreadball Mech
Nameless - Nameless spawn
Zee - Alpha Simian

What about the other teams?

+1

Maybe the spawn will play ball like a jack and the mech and alpha can chuck it like the keeper.

For mine:
Male corp team gets a Mech, along with 3 MVPs and a Keeper.
Female corp team gets a Mech, along with 2 MVPs and a Keeper.
Robot Team gets a Baraade, along with 2 MVPs, Wyn and Firewall
Nameless team gets a Spawn, along with 1 MVP, John Doe, and 2 Keepers.
Zees team gets a Alpha, along with 2 MVPs, Buzz and Riller.
My Outcast Team (4 bots, 5 Nameless, 4 Teras) get a Baracade.

Im tempting to build a Lab Team with the leftovers:
2 Asterians, 4 Zees, 3 Zzor, 1 Rat, 2 Orks
For the last 2 spots im tempted to either give them a pair of Spawns, or Mechs... Have yet to decide on that.... Perhaps one of each?
Thoughts?

Your assignments for the Male, Female, Robot, Nameless, and Zee all line up with what I'd pick.

What about the other ones:

Forge Fathers - Barricade?
Orx - Alpha Simian?
Veer-myn - Nameless Spawn?

Z'zor?
Judwan?

Asterians?
Teratons?

I'm having a tough time choosing between the Spawn or Mech. I love the look of the Nameless Spawn, but the Mech does seem to best represent the game.

I couldn't get any extras. My wife saw the Amazon charge and promptly flipped out; I only told her about $190, and since added $114 more. I was going to tell her, I swear....

See, and I know im one of the rare ones.
But I just cant do this.
My folks do it, hers do. Most married couple I know do.

But, we both make good money.
We chip into a shared account in a divided measure to pay the bills.
Whats lefts is ours independently.
She loves it too.
If she wants to get her hair and nails done.
Or go shopping. Or a mini Vaca.
Theres no, Babe, is it ok if.....
Which works for me, because I do insane stuff like Dreadball, neck deep.
