I believe a lot of folks who bought Dungeon Command also probably own one or all of the D&D Adventure games (Castle Ravenloft, Wrath of Ashardalon, Legend of Drizzt). Wizards did a fantastic thing by making the Dungeon Command minis usable in the adventure games but seeing what a great skirmish game it turned out to be, I thought it would be cool if the reverse was also true.

This thread will track the progress of my custom Dungeon Command creature cards for all (non-Huge) minis from the adventure games. Obviously these are only for gamers who do not mind a bit of DIY printing, etc.

Sting of Lolth expansion completed:
PDF file
2x Spider Swarm
2x Drow Spiderguard
1x Drow Archmage
1x Drow Mercenary
1x Yochlol
1x Purple Dragon

Heart of Cormyr expansion completed:
PDF file
1x Human Cutthroat
1x Elf Magician
1x Human Acolyte
1x Dwarf Shieldmaiden
1x Water Elemental
1x Dragonborn Seer
1x Dragonborn Fighter
1x Elf Paladin

Tyranny of Goblins expansion completed:
PDF file
2x Goblin Backblade
2x Hunting Drake
1x Cave Bear
1x Goblin Skullcleaver
1x Legion Devils
1x Rage Drake

Curse of Undeath expansion completed:
PDF file
2x Plague Rats
2x Ghoul
1x Blazing Skeleton
1x Wraith
1x Zombie Dragon
1x Flesh Golem

Blood of Gruumsh expansion completed:
PDF file
2x Orc Scout
2x Orc Mauler
2x Giant Snake
1x Orc Wolf Shaman
1x Werewolf

Other creatures from the Adventure games:

I'm thinking the following customs might be thematically suited for Tyranny of Goblins:
- Hunting Drake
- Snake (Giant)
- Legion Devil (since they have the Horned Devil)

Yes, that's true. How about all those kobolds from CR and WoA?

(Great job by the way.)

Thanks! I checked and found the following paragraph about Kobolds. Looks like they will need to wait for a more suitable faction. laugh

Quote:
They are often at war with goblins, and the numerous kobold-goblin wars help keep the populations of both races down to a manageable level.

After reading the D&D Monster Manual, I realized an in-theme "expansion" is indeed possible for Tyranny of Goblins:
2 Goblin Backblades (alternate build for Goblin Cutter)
2 Hunting Drakes
1 Goblin Skullcleaver (alternate build for Goblin Champion)
1 Cave Bear
1 Legion Devils (yes, with an "s")
1 Rage Drake

Time to get busy again.

Customs for Tyranny of Goblins completed, think I will leave the Legion Devils as is until further feedback from playtests.

Castle Ravenloft has a wealth of minis that can be used for Curse of Undeath. Here's a sneak peek at some preliminary customs for those following this thread. This set will only be finalized once more info on creature & order cards are known.

Very cool bunch for the Undead faction!

First thing I thought of when looking over the wraith, is an Order card that would be the opposite of "Level Up". Something like:

"Level Drain

REQUIRES HUMANOID
Attach this card to this creature.

-20 HP; -1 Level
If reduced to level 1, loses the Adventurer keyword.
"

Wonder if the upcoming (official) vampire will have something of the sort.

Anyway, can't wait to see the finished versions. Impressive work!

Thanks. I was trying to give the Wraith a Level Drain power but yeah, I agree it would work better as an Order card.

Thanks! Updated the OP with all current customs.

Feel free to comment once you've tried them. I expect to finetune these cards so any feedback would be useful.

ps. Just so you know, I do not intend to convert Icingdeath to this game.

With the release of Curse of Undeath, I've made some changes and posted the final drafts here.

Excellent work!!! You are cranking Dungeon Command mods at an even faster rate than the Adventure System games! Impressive!!! Most Impressive!!!
Thanks! They're unlikely to be completely free of balance issues though with such minimal playtesting. I tend to keep things underpowered when faced with a choice.

Aimon will have a much longer list of mods with his intent to convert the Heroscape D&D sets, some cool stuff there!

Looking at the remaining D&D Adventure minis, there are limited options for Blood of Gruumsh. Anyway we will have a better idea once more info is revealed.
Thanks to the image leak at the Wizard's gallery, I've been able to decide which minis from WoA could be used:
Reinforcement Pack from Wrath of Ashardalon

Ok, NOW I am pretty sure there isn't enough remaining minis to form a reinforcement pack for a 6th faction. In view of that, I might eventually make singular customs for the unused minis from the adventure games (excepting the huge minis).

Awesome job Chromaticdragon (& Aimon)! I was wondering if you've gotten the Blood of Gruumsh expansion to a point were we will see a PDF?

Also wanted to know if you planned on PDFing the remaining figures from the adventure sets? Also wanted to know your though on why the huge figures couldn't be used? Is it a balance issue?

Thanks again for sharing your hard work!

I can't speak for chromaticdragon, but I'm planning to get to the remaining Adventure System figures in the near future.

Namely...

Castle Ravenloft:
- Gargoyle
- Kobold Skirmisher
- Skeleton
- Strahd von Zarovich
- Howling Hag
- Klak

Wrath of Ashardalon:
- Otyugh
- Bellax, Gauth
- Margrath, Duergar Captain
- Meerak, Kobold Dragonlord
- Grell
- Kobold Dragonshield
- Gibbering Mouther
- Blood of Vol Cultist
- Duergar Guard

Legend of Drizzt:
- Methil El-Viddenvelp, Mind Flayer
- Errtu, Balor

Regards.

Thanks, I'm thinking on some different ideas for the Orc Wolf Shaman and will post the PDF once I've decided.

Due to the map & terrain, a figure occupying 9 squares would likely be constrained to only its Start tile. Even with the "squeeze" rules from the Adv games, a huge figure would be too severely restricted by enemy adjacencies.

Aimon, I just made a similar list.

Already thinking of adapting Strahd as a level 6 Vampire Lord version of the Vampire Stalker.

Couldn't really stop thinking about it once I had started. Here's a 2nd draft.

(Life Drain works the same as the Vampire Stalker)

And here's a draft for the Mind Flayer Telepath from LoD. Illithids have several powers that could be adapted, this is my attempt at an enslaved thrall.

Cool!

Funny, two of my next customs have a similar power to your mind flayer's one, drawing inspiration from the Orc Chieftain from Blood of Gruumsh. (One is an Animal Companion power, the other a Summon Monsters one.)

There'll be a lot of extra creatures on the battlefield!

Great work as always.

Here are 2 more uglies/aberrants:

This Grell only has 1 useful trick but it's something that can really catch the opponent off guard.

This is an experiment at a creature that restricts the opponent's tactical and Order card options.

Both are very good, but I especially love the Mouther. Thanks for sharing!
