In another thread I had the idea to try to come up with the worst deck possible. To make that a little more challenging, try to come up with the worst legal A:NR deck, while obeying the following restrictions (to prevent simply not running icebreakers or whatever):

Runner:

Must have at least 3 icebreakers (either different ones or copies of one)
Must have icebreakers capable of breaking at least 2 of the 3 types of ice (code gate, barrier, sentry)
Must contain at least 3 cards that generate credits (can be different cards or 3 copies of one card)

Corp:

Must contain at least 16 ice, including at least 6 that have an "end the run" subroutine.
Must contain at least 3 cards that generate credits (can be different cards or 3 copies of one card)

He's looking real sharp in his 1940's fedora. He's got nerves of steel, an iron will, and several other metal-themed attributes. His fur is water tight and he's always up for a fight.

He's a semi-aquatic egg-laying mammal of action. He's a furry little flat-foot who'll never flinch from a fray. He's got more than just mad skills, he's got a beaver tail and a bill.

Wyrm can break all three types of ICE. Do I need any other breaker?

Hmm. Good point. I'll amend it to "Must have 3 icebreakers (either different or copies of 1) that collectively can break 2 of the 3 types of ice"

So yeah, you can just run Wyrm, but you'd have to run 3.

I'd say that makes it pretty awful then hah

Also, There's one Yog.0 and no barrier breakers in the deck so Wall of Static or Tollbooth are impenetrable. I'd say NBN still has a shot

That's sort of cheating.

I like Chum because I can place it right next to my servers to protect the runner from getting hit with the subroutine.

We said worst deck, not worst play of those decks. I am taking this challenge as 'if I wanted to totally hamstring a good opponent, here's what I'd hand them'.

I am not accounting for intentional bad play, just bad deck building skills.

I think a 3rd mimic instead of 1 Yog.0 would make this deck worse. Yog.0 is too good of a card to be in any "worst deck".

EDIT: noticed that my proposed change wouldn't follow the rules, I would change Yog.0 to an Aurora instead.

Yeah, I think you have to consider a chalenge like this under those terms, otherwise it's all meaningless, as a runner could always use all their actions on credits each turn until they lost. (Corp could use all actions to draw cards and then discard any agendas to Archives each turn) Decks don't even factor in at all.

@Bryron, definitely neural Emp rather than the Precogs though, no question

Alright, here's my shot:

Deck Created with CardGameDB.com Android: Netrunner Deck Builder

Identity:
Noise: Hacker Extraordinaire (Core)
Gotta be Noise - any other Identity can help a player with any deck. Noise with no virii? devil

Total Cards: (45)

Event: (12)
Deja Vu (Core) x3
Won't ever fetch anything useful here!
Stimhack (Core) x3
Could conceivably be used to use Wyrm to get past things, but we all have to make sacrifices.
Infiltration (Core) x3
Neutral cards, mmmm. Exposing cards doesn't help if you can't ever get to them.
Demolition Run (Core) x3
And trashing cards doesn't help if you can't succeed in a run, either.

Hardware: (12)
Cyberfeeder (Core) x3
Another economy card, but half of its functionality is gone without virii!
Lemuria Codecracker (Core) x3
More exposing!
Grimoire (Core) x3
Loading up on a console that won't help at all seems like a good idea.
Rabbit Hole (Core) x1
Cheap influence, and at one count can't even thin the deck!

Program: (9)
Djinn (Core) x3
Yeah, Djinns, hunt for what ain't there! And host our worthless crap, please.
Wyrm (Core) x3
Economy cards will help wyrm, sadly, but we can't put Crypsis in here, he's a virus!
Net Shield (Core) x3
We hatessss it. Good thing it's one influence, I'm sure this will show up everywhere.
Aurora (Core) x1
Wyrm, Aurora, and Pipeline are the Three Stooges to Corroder, Gordian Blade, and Ninja's Three Amigos.
Pipeline (Core) x1
'Nuff said.

Resource: (14)
Access to Globalsec (Core) x3
Link remains of dubious value in the Core.
Data Dealer (Core) x3
Spend clicks to toss agendas you won't get to get a decent-ish amount of credits? Heheheh.
Wyldside (Core) x3
A great card that doesn't help this deck! It's nice when that happens.
Ice Carver (Core) x3
A necessary evil, given the icebreakers I have here. At least three of them means some will probably be drawn dead.
Armitage Codebusting (Core) x2
And another one. I think this is a better choice than Sure Gamble, but maybe x1 of each would be a worse deck.

Influence Values Totals -
Anarch: 50
Criminal: 10
Shaper: 5

Identity:
NBN: Making News (Core)
Tag without really having any way to exploit that (besides private Security Force and vanilla research trashing).

Total Cards: (45)

Agenda: (11)
Breaking News (Core) x3
Private Security Force (Core) x3
AstroScript Pilot Program (Core) x3
Priority Requisition (Core) x2
High agenda density! And a lean deck with nothing to look forward to.

Asset: (10)
Ghost Branch (Core) x3
Give them tags... Which you'll do nothing with.
Zaibatsu Loyalty (Core) x3
Protect your ambush... which doesn't really hurt them.
Melange Mining Corp (Core) x3
PAD Campaign (Core) x3
Ran out of influence and unhelpful cards. For example, Red Herrings would have helped this deck somewhat disproportionately, whereas credits do not.

ICE: (18)
Matrix Analyzer (Core) x3
Tag, and don't stop them! Advancement is nice, though. But it also tells them where to run next!
Data Raven (Core) x3
Tag, and don't stop them! And tag them later, because you like tags.
Hunter (Core) x3
Tag, and don't stop them!
Archer (Core) x3
Get money. Stop them and destroy their programs, but sacrifice your progress on the only way you can win with this deck (barring a dumb runner when you have PSF scored).
Shadow (Core) x3
Tag, and don't stop them! Get money.
Viktor 1.0 (Core) x3
As per the Bioroid discussion downthread replaces Enigma here. A Runner with nothing to fear has all the time to play games with lonely Bioroids.

Operation: (3)
SEA Source (Core) x3
What, you want more tags? We have more tags!

Upgrade: (3)
SanSan City Grid (Core) x3
Actually helpful for this deck, because you might actually get the money for it. This deck really requires the fast advance, but doesn't get to have the Psychographics to actually do it!

Total Agenda Points: 21

Influence Values Totals -
Haas-Bioroid: 3
Jinteki: 3

You guys are underestimating using Heimdall 1.0 and Viktor 1.0 as your 6 "end the run" ice since they allow the runner to bypass them anyway.

If this is really a "build your opponent's deck" competition then it'll be hard to make a bad runner deck. You know that there won't be ice that can stop you so having no icebreakers isn't really a problem. And tags won't matter either unless your opponent is foolish enough to put in something that does anything when your opponent is tagged.

You should make the restrictions tougher for the corp.

A good corp player can still stack the bioroids to make at least some of their subroutines have to be suffered or broken. And those subroutines hurt.
