Hey All,

I'm trying to get my pledge together, and I'm looking for some final info on each team.

CORP
All 3 positions

MARAUDER
Only Guards and Jacks

RATS
Only Strikers and Guards

DWARVES
All 3 positions?

NAMELESS
Only Guards (2 types) and Jacks

FEMALE
All 3 positions

BUGS
All 3 positions

ROBOTS
Unsure - I know they transform, but are there different models for each position that you swap out?

ASTERIAN
All 3 positions

ZEES
Only Jacks

TERATONS
All 3 positions?

JUDWAN
Only Strikers

My plan right now is to drop the female corp. team, only pick up a BOGO of Jud'Wan and hopefully another that only has 1 type of model ('bots if they do, otherwise Zees), and then do the completion package and mix and match the Teratons, Asterians, Nameless, Z'Zor. However, if those 'bots have different models, I have to rethink.

Yep, and surveys went out today. I'm trying to figure out how to turn my pledge into figures.

Why do you want teams that only have a single position type?

To play as them?

I'm not going to get 16 figures for the teams that only have 1 position type, but I would still like to have them.

Veer-Myn only get two positions.
Starter gets 2 Guards and 6 Strikers.

Read a rumor that the Ladies may only get 1 guard on a starting roster.

I have ordered a additional 'team' of Robots and Judwan to my pledge level of Striker. That means I'll get 8 models for each team, right?

Somehow that suddenly feels to be too few models for a whole team, considering that the other four teams I'll get from Striker will be each, what, 14 players strong?

you will get 8 models and +2 for the striker.

I think 14 is more for leagues.

I went for 4 extra teams: Zzor, Robots, Zee and Teratons.

I can see an advantage to having up to 14 of the single position minis.

Judwan...where they are all strikers, I can see them being a little squishy. Having extras will help...for those times your entire team is slammed off the board.

Zee...if they get the distract the ref, and sneek extra players on the pitch...why not have a bunch of them, to get as many out there as possible. Being Jacks you will need as many of them out there as possible.

Robots...well they can change, so can't really count them as the same model.

That's what I want to know - are there different models for the different positions, as they change?

I asked Mantic this exact question regarding robots but no response yet. For teams with only one position, you don't need all 16. You only need the 14 that's allowed on the roster.

Really you wouldn't even need 14 since you can only have 6 on the pitch at a time.

I think I will be fine with my 14-guys Striker teams plus the two extra 8+2 guys teams I added in the survey.

And a couple in the sin bin, but you could use counters for that or something.

I figure you can use the MVPs as extra players for each team too.

Considering there is at least 1 MVP for each race. In the Striker pledge you'll be getting a MINIMUM of 11 players per team (8 players in each set plus 2 extra for striker plus MVPs) thats pretty good when you can only have 6 players on the pitch at a time. Plus keepers if you decide to get them too.

I'll be using the MVPs as captains of the team and they can be any position I want them to be. Plus they will add additional poses to the team too. Otherwise they probably won't get used that much.

Here's my rundown of the total models for each team (players in bold are the additional players that can be bought)

CORP - 20 = 14 from base set + Logan + 88 + Enforcer + Rico + Gabe + Keeper

MARAUDER - 17 = 14 from base set + Joe + Buzzcut + Keeper

RATS - 16 = 14 from base set + Reek + Keeper

DWARVES - 17 = 14 from base set + Gorim + Painmaster + Keeper

NAMELESS - 13 = 8 from team set + 2 from Striker + John Doe + 2 Keepers

FEMALE - 13 = 8 from team set + 2 from Striker + Helder + Wildcard + Keeper

BUGS - 12 = 8 from team set + 2 from Striker + Ludwig + Keeper

ROBOTS - 13 = 8 from team set + 2 from Striker + Firewall + Wyn + Praetorian

ASTERIANS - 13 = 8 from team set + 2 from Striker + Mellisandra + Nightshade + Keeper

ZEES - 11 = 8 from team set + 2 from Striker + Riller

TERATONS - 12 = 8 from team set + 2 from Striker + Dozer + Keeper

JUDWAN - 11 = 8 from team set + 2 from Striker + Mee-Kel

For myself, I ended up with 16, 14 player teams.
One for each of the 12 races.
And 2 mixed race teams.
One a Penal Colony team, the other a Laboratory Team.

This includes whatever positions the teams normally has, plus MVPs, keepers, and multi hexers.
And I think in the end I ended up with 2 extra MVPs, and a half dozen troops.

So while each team only 'needs' 6 players on the field, I wanted each team to have a full roster.

But I also went double barrel full bore too.....

I've not added any keepers to my pledge. If they're neccesary to play the game Mantic should have included them in the Striker levels' teams.

No where is it stated keepers are needed for the game.
Its simply a visual representation of an unlocked ability of guards as they level.
The keeper models ars not needed to play the game, anymore than the prone markers are.

Personally, I really like the idea of keepers. Hopefully they will get their own skill list to choose from once they become keepers.

I will be playing this for league play. So to me, keepers are a must have.
