See here http://www.gmtgames.com/p-424-c3i-magazine-issue-26.aspx.

It appears that GMT will be publishing an edition of Objective: Kiev, much like they did with Jena 20 a few issues back.

Just got my C3i magazine in today. Was shocked to read here that there are errors! Is there an official Errata page which lists the corrections to the map, rules, etc?

Heads-Up – Objective Kiev Rules – C3i Magazine Nr26
Game Errata – Objective Kiev

1) The example of combat in the magazine has the defending Soviet armor in a forest hex. The VPG rules have it in clear terrain. The texts are the same, though.

2) The C3i Objective Kiev map is missing one Soviet set up mech symbol and has one setup infantry symbol in black instead of red ink, making it hard to find.

3) The turn record track differs from the rules on arriving Axis reinforcements — use the VPG Rules version (below).

Please note the link below to the VPG version of the “Objective Kiev” rules (PDF) — please use these VPG rules as your main reference if you have any questions or need any additional clarity relating to the rules of the game.

Hope this helps,

Rodger

Is there an error in the Sequence of play on the map as well? It reads

Germany
1) replacement
2) armor movement
3) combat
4) movement

The rules have

Germany
1) build-up
2) movement
3) combat
4) special movement

The VPG version has the same as the rules..

Still, I really like this game!

Did you ever receive a reply to this? I note that in another Frank Chadwick game (C3i #25 "Battle for Moscow") the Sequence of Play printed on its map matches that printed in 4.0 Sequence of Play of its rules booklet and that both indicate Axis/German Step 2 is Panzer/Armor Movement Phase.

To add more mystery, "The Arduous Beginning" (companion game in this series) has "German Special Movement" (for Panzers and reserves) as Step 4.

So maybe each of the 3 games was meant to have Special Movement at a different point in the sequence of play and that the only issue with "Objective Kiev" is which is correct... as Step 2 or Step 4 of the German/Axis Player Turn?
