Here is a simple solitaire variant for Tsuro:

- Start with 4 pawns--each starting on its won side of the board. (The game can be modified play with a different number of pawns--1 easy, 8 incredibly hard. The more pawns the more challenging the game. Place eacg pawn at a different starting location.)
- Draw tiles one at a time. Place the tile in a legal position on the board. (i.e. adjacent to any pawn.) Move pawns as normal.
- You win if you are able to place all of the tiles without having any pawn forced off the board. (There are 35 tiles for 36 spaces--all of the pawns would have to enter the last open space.)

Thanks! That was a really cool idea. I played once with 2 pawns, drawing one tile at a time and I only got about 5 turns for each pawn. Then I decided to try 2 pawns with 1 hand of 3 tiles to split between them, and I made it to the 34th tile and lost the 2nd pawn. Finally I tried it with 8 pawns and 1 3-tile hand, and I finished all 35 tiles with 7 pawns still on the board! Drawing 1 tile at a time increases the difficulty of this variant infinately, and makes it a bit too random. Having 3 tiles at all times lets you at least try and formulate a strategy.
