Let's play a game of 20 questions. I will think of a board game and anyone can ask a yes or no question and I will answer it. Let's see if anyone can guess the game that I am thinking of before 20 questions are answered.

This is a trick! No board games allowed in chit chat!

Is it a monkey with a burrito sitting on a goat?

Given that the 61,806 board games in the database each have a unique number, if we're allowed to ask questions like "Is its database number less than 32,001?" then it could always be guessed in 17 or fewer guesses.

61,806 < 65,536 = 2 ^ (17-1)

We could give it a try when the database has over 524,288 entries, or you could introduce some house rules.

I hereby nominate Erik to run the monetary system for the world. I wouldn't know what he's doing, but somehow I would feel safe.

No thanks. Erik is sporting both the stay at home dad and chemical engineer badges. I'm pretty sure that means he is a mad scientist of some sort.

Yes, but I'm also a Bears fan, so that probably disqualifies me in your book.

But my wife of 20 years (in one week) is a Packers fan, so maybe that qualifies me for some sort of diplomatic post?

That qualifies you as unequally yoked. Does that mean your kids are Lions or Vikings fans?

Yes, you are disqualified. Your wife is a hero. Diplomatic post only if you change loyalties. Doubtful. Sorry, you had a great career ahead of you making a big salary with no accountability.

You do know you have married the perfect woman.

Worse than that (if that's possible), they couldn't care less.

I tried.

Does a thread have to be on the tracks in order to get derailed?

If a thread derails in the Internet and only Chit Chat is there to hear it . . . .

Based on the manufacturer's suggested ages, the BGG "user suggested # of players" rating, and their character's ages when the show debuted, could enough of the Partridge Family kids have played to have a "best with" game?

I would think this should be the place, but I'm not a regular. They seem to feel one shouldn't talk about board games here.

I wasn't familiar with it until just now, but there's a Forum called BoardGameGeek Community that looks appropriate and seems to have a decent amount of traffic.

There must be some place that it would be appreciated. I'm just not sure where.
The people around this forum are all lovely people, though; don't judge them on how they react to games being discussed.
