Hi

I distinctly remeber the best board game from my youth late 1970's ealy 1980's.

It was a two player 3d naval game.

Each player has a cannon and real plastic cannon balls; you moved ships around a 3 D board and could either put flags on islands or take pot shots at opponents.

There were no dice

I thought it was called Armada or galleon BUT I can't find it anywhere

I would really love to buy this game for my 11 year old son

Does anyone remember it ?

The only game I can find with shooting cannons is Pow the Cannon Game. But it doesn't look like it has ships or islands.

no not this one this is really doing my head in; I spoke to my brother last night and he remembers it to.

He thought it was called Armada BUT it looks absolutely nothing like the Armada games on this site

It was called "King of the Sea" One of the funnest games I had. Eventually cannonballs were lost and one cannon got worn out.

I couldn't remember the name either. It was really hard to find. Google was a bust, and it took me a while to find it here.

If King of the Sea is the game for which the OP seeks, good luck finding it. I could not locate it anywhere by searching the web, except one auction on ebay that sold in Sept, and that was just for some spare parts for the game. I was hoping I could point you at it, but to no avail.
