Tossed that thing outside on the limb of a tree and doused it in Febreeze outside my office. Yes you can steal it if you come to Amherst, MA.

My god did it reek. Reeked up the whole box I garner.

It's nice at first but then the imagery of puke and poop from all these posts (quite like this one) evoke a disgusting reaction. It still lingers on my fingers even though I've washed them 3 times.

We'll see if the Dragon's Fruit febreeze soaks in.

report in two days.

So strange. Of the 5 open copies that I personally know of, none of them had any bad odor at all.

It is a smell beyond imagining. Think spoiled cheese mixed with butt sweat and yak semen. And I just threw mine away. I guess I could have tried to deodorize it, but it didn't seem worth the effort, nor likely to work.

Mine didn't smell bad at all. I expected it to after reading some of the posts but nothing offensive about it. A mild leathery smell is all.

Mine did smell initially, but it seems to have worn off.. its fine now. Strangely we never normally use dice cups, but we always use it when playing stoneage.

I smelt mine and quite enjoyed the mild earthy leather aroma.

I guess the Canadian Butt Cups don't smell. I bought my Stone Age a year ago and it didn't smell at all. Not even a pleasant leather smell.

I'm sorry, but that smell you experienced was not the Butt Cup.

It was the UMass football team! Guh!

Must be a Northern thing. My Michigan Butt Cup didn't smell in the least. I always wondered why people hated the smell of that thing.

So day 2 it's still pretty stinky. It's masked by the fruity undertones of the febreeze, but the present smell is still there.

Somebody said fire, were they being legit. If i don't hear back in 2 hours, the thing is going in my oven to see if it fixes it.

I think the other poster was joking and said that you can fix the smell by tossing the cup in the fire to destroy it.

Seriously, I've heard that you need to leave it out in the fresh air for a couple of weeks. That usually helps.

Wait a second, Bryan. The spoiled cheese I understand. The butt sweat I understand. Just how do you know what yak semen smells like?

There is wise, and then there is Too Much Information.

I think I would draw the line at yak semen.
In fact, I'd probably draw the line well before the opportunity to smell yak semen ever presented itself.

But that's just me.

I see what is going on here. Every Canadian who has posted has no issue with the smell. Mind you, I'm sure the smell is identical. It's just that most Americans haven't grown up skinning animals a few times a week like virtually every Canadian I know. It's sort of a homey aroma for us.

That's funny. I bought my copy in Victoria when I was there on vacation. Now, I'm really glad I did.
