Hi all,

I know that the recommended number up top doesn't discriminate for this game, but I was wondering if I could get some 'on the ground' opinions.

I have a 7yr old daughter and bought this game principally to play with her.

I 'could' draw in a friend of hers and his dad to play for a 4 player game but it would be infrequent.

Or the two of us could just play together as often as we care to.

Does the game suffer if there are only 2 players?

No. The game is set up for specific numbers and sometimes specific loadouts of characters per adventure and since it can be played solo obviously one player can handle more than one character.

In your case you can divvy up between you and your daughter which characters each adventure are availible and have at it as you please.

Allways keep in mind that this is not a more standard dungeoncrawler where you are playing the same character every adventure, there may be cases where one or more are sidelined for a session for one reason or another.

We've found this game to scale incredibly well. Most our plays have been w two and we absolutely love it.

My wife and I have only played this with just the 2 of us so far, and we are 40 years more on than your daughter. It scales well for age as well as number of players!

Two mice each works great, and you don't have to worry about the odd chapters where there's less than 4 mice in play.

Got my copy yesterday, devoured the rules, viewed the "watch it played" video and am stepping my way through the FAQs and QA's posted on the page, can't wait to play it!

Plays great with two. It's just me and my seven-year old daughter playing it, and she loves playing half the mice.
