Hi there!
another, very noobish question: let's say One Fist has a sword (or a weapon granting him an off-hand bonus) in his right hand; while doing the "free" attack granted by his special ability, do you give him the off-hand bonus of the weapon in his right hand as well?
Thx (again) for help!

With a FAQ this big it's hard to find the right stuff. The answer for you is still in there, page 7:
Descent FAQ wrote:
Q: What is the precise definition of One Fist's additional attack, with respect to attack bonuses, dice, skills etc.?
A: One Fist's attack is a special melee attack made with a Hook weapon. It includes his melee trait dice and any melee-related skills, abilities, or bonuses. It can include an off-hand bonus if he wields a second one-handed melee weapon.

Sebastian, William,
thank you for the help. Yeah, the FAQ is kinda big, plus consider that I've started mixing everything in only one month ago (before I played only base game quests)... imagine the headache and the countless "what if x does y under the influence of z" ::laughter::
Anyway, One Fist seems to be really a strong character :-)

He is rather strong at start, but :

- one additional attack with a non-surge-using weapon means less when you begin unleashing 3 attacks per round with various bonuses at beasts with 7 armor (RGssbb gives an average of 8.3 damage to the hook atttack if you have a Morning Star in the other hand ; compare with 13.9 for the Serpent Blade, a 1-handed Silver weapon)

- he won't be able to use most big weapons (13 out of 20 magical weapons are 2-handed)

- if he succeeds in finding one, he'll be unable to do what most fighters would do : wield a +2 or better shield in the other hand.

Hi Alain,
thank you for your post :-) Yeah, that's very true, but it's not compulsory to use him as tank or to assault the final boss or heavier monsters. You can have him run to take the Line of Sight to some distorted corners of corridors / room and still have enough firepower to kill a weaker monster, and if you use him to battle and focus on Skeletons, Kobolds, Beastmen and weaker monsters while others work on the tougher guys, well, he can help a lot.

Yes, that's it. He is the right guy to be used as a second fighter, while some big hitter uses the two-handed weapons. But I prefer 1+1+1+1 groups.
(one big hitter, one efficient archer, one powerful mage, one specialist runner)

This is not an AC forum (I assume s dice are silver, not yellow)

Sorry, I had just been reading two campaign games on this Forum, so I didn't realize there was any difference.

Anyway, my answer is even more true : since you don't have to end any dungeon to get silver weapons, and get on average more treasures, the difference witj the non-magical hook weapon will be felt earlier.

I woudl also prefer, as a second line damage-dealer, somebody who has a big personal skill, like Kirga, Jonas, Hawthorne, or Corbin (who has 5 fatigue to spend as added move or dice).
