A couple weeks ago my wife asked me to provide her with a list of 5 or so games I would like for Christmas. From that list she will choose one or two, depending on the prices. But this thread isn't about me. I'm curious what games are on YOUR Christmas list (5 or so items). I just might steal some ideas

Macao and Castles of Burgundy are both being considered for my list this year, but I'm not sure which I want more.

Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures Game is also one that I'm eyeing quite a bit.

I would be a very happy boy if I got this for Christmas. Definitely at the top of my list.

I got to pick one...and I chose (of all things) Tobago. I almost chose Airlines Europe, but Tobago seems a little more unique and perhaps replayable. I also almost chose Navegador. Navegador is more my type of game, but Tobago would actually get played more. I will actually get to play Tobago several times over Christmas holiday, whereas it would be several weeks before Navegador got played.

Nope. Its a toss up. Sometimes I like Macao better. Sometimes I like Castles better. But if pressed, Macao gets the nod. But if you really want a Feld game, I have to admit I may actually enjoy Notre Dame more than either of these. But I do have the 9 expansion cards for Notre Dame.

My mother started a Christmas tradition 3 years ago, giving a new board game each year to my wife and me. Previous to that we had only played traditional mainstream board games, and it was kind of her who (unknowingly) got us really into gaming. She's not a board gamer herself, but she's done very well each year and it's been a fun to see what she would give us (Ticket to Ride, Dominion, and Tobago thus far).

So a couple of weeks ago she called and asked what game we would like her to get for us this year because she knows we are much more into gaming now than we were last year. Hmmm... That's not how it has worked in the past. I told her that I enjoy the tradition and that I'm leaving it up to her. I sent her a list of the games we own (to avoid repeats), a link to BGG if she wanted to read some reviews, and told her I would look forward to whatever she wants to give me. So I don't have a Christmas list, but I'm sure I will have a blast on Christmas afternoon playing a new game with my family.

Goa

Bloody April, 1917: Air War Over Arras, France

Space Hulk: Death Angel – The Card Game

I told her Goa is my top pick. I am hoping for Goa and one other from the list. She might go crazy, though, and get three...

This 25th of December marks the completion of my 50th go-around of the sun. Next February, my wife passes the same milestone. So instead of a typical North American over-zealous holiday gift purchases (usually including at least 2-3 games), we're taking a trip instead to someplace warm with the kids.

That said, I can ask for one game as part of my birthday gifts ... so I'm thinking 1960 Making of a President is the one this year.

As someone who just crossed that 50 boundary, all I can say is yes. Have fun on your trip.

Eclipse (have this on preorder for the third print; likely to be a present to myself).
Eminent Domain.
Stone Age (both ED and SA are stashed at home for Christmas already).
A Touch of Evil expansions... assuming all the hint dropping pays off.
