I'm biased; but if you like strategy games Yedo can be the game your looking for.
It's less complex than it first appears... after turn four everyone knows how to play it.

Pleased to hear someone else is enjoying Level 7!

I'm loving Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island at the moment, too.

Seasons and Love Letter are both new and hot -- indeed Love Letter is only supposed to be released to the stores the first week of December.

If you are looking for a gamer's game, Terra Mystica seems to be getting a lot of buzz. It along with The Great Zimbabwe are at the top of my list.

New to me games released this year that I really liked:

Milestones Each person has their own evolving Rondel. The game is very clever and easy to figure out.

The Manhattan Project This game is worker placement and engine building both. The art is fantastic and the game is slick.

VivaJava: The Coffee Game It's a hybrid Euro party game that plays up to 8 well. This one is original and fun.

Light and lovely ... I can not get enough of Love Letter. Awesome game.

And Fleet? Bought and traded after one game. Yes, that bad (for me). Didn't even get to three plays, which is the point at which I tossed Agricola.

My family and I are keen on both Snowdonia and Keyflower. Not too difficult to start playing but both unique and interesting. Both play fine with an 8 and a 12 year old.

Look to the left. See where it says "the hotness"?

I bet all of them have really helpful video reviews!
