Roll 1d10 each market phase in a town:
9+ = discard an event card to the doom track.
The discarded card's colour is determined same as a wandering monster's colour is determined.
Each consecutive turn ended in the town, add +2 to the roll.
If you find that too easy, have the initial discard at 8+ or 6+ with the increment at +3 or +4.
1. Using wandering monster rules and adding a doom counter with 3 cards (original +2) instead of two in the solo game rules as written.
2. Allowing refresh of items between each red challenge in the end game.

Are those last 2 suggestions for the solo game? Did you find the endgame too difficult as written?
