If she plays two copies on the same target, does she get to reduce all its damage by 2?

Re: Does Twist the Ether (Visionary) stack?
What about AoE damage - is she allowed to change the damage to one target to, say, Fire and to another to Energy? Or does all the damage have to be one type? Does the answer change when she has multiple copies on the same target?

Each time damage is dealt to a different target is a separate instance of damage and is modified independently.

So if the villain deals damage to all hero targets, Visionary could change the damage to Ra to fire, change the damage to Zero to cold and boost it by 1, and reduce the damage to herself by 1.

"Nothing in Sentinels is truly simultaneous" answers about 40% of all rules questions, so it's an important principle to remember.

If I put Twist the Ether on Fanatic, and Fanatic uses her power to deal 1 melee and 1 radiant, do the each go up by +1 for a total of 4 or is it total of 3?

Each damage is completely separate, so with no other modifiers she will get a total of 4.

Everyone assumes at first that Fanatic's base power is about dealing two types of damage, but 90% of the time the type of the damage means nothing. What does often matter is that all damage increases and reductions are twice as effective as on a power that just deals two damage. (There are other effects as well, like when something reacts to the first damage dealt, for example)
