Yup, I woke up this morning and realized I still have on the 2012 BGG con bracelet.

Who else is wearing theirs?

How long can you go without taking it off?

Do we get in free next year if we still have it on?

On the shuttle back to the terminal, someone claimed that someone else "ran the test" last year to see how long they could keep it on. Apparently it lasted 9 months.

I didn't have scissors with me at the hotel, so I wore it until I got home. I tried chewing it off, but it was resilient. Chewing though my wrist would have been quicker.

As I sit here at work, I am fiddling with it. I don't think I could bear the psychological trauma of taking it off.

I spoke with Rusty on Tuesday before BGG.con. He wore his 2011 BGG.con bracelet until it completely fell apart in July. Treat it with care and you might get eight-to-nine months out of it.

I was wearing mine as a I left the convention, but the clasp broke as I was loading boxes into the car outside of the hotel. Perfect timing?

I took it off this morning just before I left for work. I seriously contemplated keeping it on, only so that I could take a photo of it and the December 1 newspaper to post on here for a few Likes, but I couldn't face the confusion of my coworkers.

I took it off Saturday night (I had to leave at 6AM Sunday). I have a "phantom wristband" feeling on my arm. I must have grown attached to it.

I expect to wear mine into work tomorrow to show it off. I don't think I could do eight months.

Personally, I disliked the requirement to keep it on for the entire duration of the convention (requirement in that if you removed it for whatever reason, it was $5 to receive a new one).

As a local, I was going to work during the weekdays (and the con at nights), so there was an annoyance in needing to wear it during work with a professional dress code in play; not to mention the irritation is sleeping and bathing with it on.

I took mine off upon arriving home - but it felt like I was still wearing it 'til today . . .

This. I'm still getting phantom bracelet syndrome flashes every once in awhile.

I wrote a similar thread like this until it was hijacked about some C02 game.

I made a small slit in mine and took it off, however I will manage to glue or tape it back together and wear it until the next con.

Challenge Accepted?

Based on my research, I don't think they can survive a year of actual wear.

Yeah, but this years badges are much higher quality than last years.

Did you keep it on again?

My husband still has his on and is seeing how long it'll last. We're self employed and not that stylish anyway, so he could go the distance...as long as the band holds up...

Almost embarrassed to admit I'm still wearing mine. Not sure why I still have it on, except that it's a nice distraction to look down during the day and have flashbacks of the CON. Not to mention every time someone asks what it is I get to introduce them to the world of gaming!!! Maybe I'll wear it until I secure my tickets to BGG.CON 2013!!!

My husband and I are still sporting ours proudly! I'm hoping to make it to next con with 2012 band still intact and being worn.
