Apologies if the answer to this is obvious.

I've subscribed to the 2012 S.S. gift geeklist.

Is there a way I can jump between just the new comments and items (as described on my subscriptions page)?

Cheers,

Spritey

put together a fabulous extension that saves my sanity:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5805590/gclnav.crx

Be sure to tip him and tell him he is a god among men.

It will give you a little green Amoeba icon in the upper right corner of your screen. When you click it, it will say "1 of 5" and when you click Next, it will take you to the new items on that page. If it says 1 of 1, you don't have to go looking for any other new items on the page.

Now, its definition of new item is slightly different than you BGG subscription - if you only have geeklist items subscribed, it will take you to comments as well and it will also consider any of your own comments new (but it's so fast to click through that it still saves time).

The answer without that extension is that BGG will take you to each page with changes. Other changes on that page may be above or below, but they'll all get marked as read if you leave the page. So, you have to scroll though the entire page looking for the red boxes of changed items.

If you keep subscriptions in another tab, you can refresh (reload) it to see how many changes are on the page, by how much the number of changes goes down when you reload.

Hopefully this gets improved in the redesign.

Thanks for the replies. I'm aware of the red boxes, Walt, and just trying to be more efficient. I'll try IndigoPotter's suggestion.

I agree that if this were a built-in function, it'd be very useful.

It seems it's not possible using the extension anymore due to a change in the way Chrome handles "suspicious" extensions, any plan on uploading the extension to the Crhome store?

Jason is aware of the change in Chrome, and he is working on adding it to the Chrome store so that we can use it. Scraimer made a similar extension that is in the Chrome store, called BGG++

Is it only me or BGG++ doesn't navigate among new items It would be really useful now that Spiel Geeklists are coming.

The Amoeba and Chrome get along for some people and not others these days... I had to switch to BGG++ (it's in the Chrome store)

BGG++ will make a little pink box pop up in the upper right hand corner, with three newspaper icons with arrows (like the BGG subscription icon). One will have an arrow down, then an arrow up, then 1/3 (for example) then a next subscription button. You use the up/down newspaper arrows to look at the new things on that page.
