Hi guys.

I'm helping organise a themed event at the place I work which is based around schlocky, bmovie sci if imagery. I'm looking for games that include these elements. So anything that includes daft aliens or ridiculous 50s pulp themes.

Any ideas?

Cheers guys.

Fortune and Glory: The Cliffhanger Game
Last Night on Earth: The Zombie Game

I am seeing a trend with this publisher.

Z-man also has a line of card games that are all B-movie themed. I can't really think of the names, right now. They are all ridiculously named, something like "Pigmy Hobbit Cannibals", or "Attack of the B-movies". There was a 3 pack of them on deep discount at Tanga.com in the Toys/Games tab.

Here they are. [geekurl=https://www.tanga.com/deals/c8014254fe/grave-robbers-from-outer-space-i-ii-iii-combo-pack]B-Movie games[/geekurl]

The Isle of Dr. Necreaux plays up the 1950s sci-fi theme real well.

Grave Robbers From Outer Space

It's a cardgame that parodies the Sci-fi B-movie genre, and does a fine job of it. Each player is building his/her own movie, and using monsters to attack opponents' movies. There are stereotypical characters, situations, quotes, and venues, and the artwork is superior. The humor works, too -- for the first game or two.

I've played it with 2 players and 6 players, and in concluded both cases that there isn't much game there. I can't see where there is any ground for developing stratgies. No one I've played it with enjoyed the experience.

But I don't like Munchkin either, so I'm sure some gamers disagree with me.

I have it but haven't played it but it seems that the gameplay is worse than the movie. (which I love BTW, but it isn't very good)

We found that these are great fun if you ignore half the rules and just try to make the craziest movies possible. I got an Indiana Jones-esqe movie that culminated in fighting off a cult that was assaulting Hong Kong with Godzilla. It was awesome!

Not so sure the base game rules as written are all that fun, though.
