I'm getting interested in this game, but I would like to know more details about the campaign game:

- It seems that the campaign game consists of playing all the scenarios consecutively. So for instance, after you finish the first scenario and count the VPs, do you set the map up again for the next scenario or continue from where you stopped?

- How does the VP system work for campaigns? Do VPs reset after the end of a scenario? Do you add up the total VPs for each scenario at the end of the campaign for a grand total? How does the scoring system compares with the scoring of the No Retreat campaign game?

Thanks!

You continue from where you stopped. (And you don't have to count up VPs; they're not used in the campaign game, other than to end the game early if one side gets to Decisive Victory, which usually you have some sense of.) If it doesn't end early, victory in the campaign game is determined by the W'44 conditions, the month in which the Soviets make it to the edge of the map.

Bear in mind that you will have to adjust German and Soviet production between scenarios, as well as their airpower. But just about everything else you can ignore . . . Rusty, do you use the Stand Fast order when the campaign game gets to S44?

The rules are downloadable and it's easy to see how the scenarios are individually playable or combinable into the full campaign (or even a partial campaign if you like: i.e. basically you can start with any scenario and end with its victory determination, or decide to continue on and end with any later scenario's victory determination).

Yeah, that can screw a campaign, ha ha.

Oh, I've only played a couple campaigns, and the one time we got that far, we didn't use the rule because the Axis was still on the offensive!
