Primarily to help Police Precinct in a couple of different ways, we here at Common Man Games have decided to re-vamp our entire website.

The URL address will not change (still www.commonman.com), but the look and feel will be a bit different as well as some of the capabilities.

This has been in process for a while now (construction behind the scenes), and now finally it is ready.

The conversion actually happened very quietly about 48 hours ago.

This post is the first official mention of the new site.

Among other things, this new site will allow us to process Pre-Release commitments.

All of the folks who have been added to the Pre-Release list during the time since our Kickstarter Funding period ended, will be receiving an email sometime pretty soon (next week or two). This email will invite them to visit the new site and make official their commitment to Police Precinct during the Pre-Release Phase. If you are on this list, you will get an email soon.

Regardless of your current status in terms of the Pre-Release list (you're on it, you're not on it, or you're not sure if you're on), please feel free to jump right in and guarantee yourself a copy of Police Precinct during the Pre-Release Phase.

Here's how...

Visit the site, and follow the prompts to "Order during the Pre-Release Phase".

By the way, though I have not heard it said officially from our freight experts nor from the factory, I do believe that today is the way that the container full of Police Precinct began it's journey toward Atlanta.

Our message is...

Travel Safe!

That message goes out to the container, and to all who are traveling to see family for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Gobble Gobble!

Looks nice, was surprised you don't have K2 in the "Buy Direct" store.

interesting!

That's not good.

Could you try from a different browser maybe?

Not sure why that happened.

We have not heard that issue yet.

We have had folks sending orders through OK. Your's is the first issue we have heard.

Hope it's not a trend.

Success!

I was on a PC - but just successfully ordered from my iPad. Maybe I did something differently?

At any rate, I should be a paying customer now.

Good feedback!

And good success with the shopping cart!

We see it on our end too.

I will try to notice if there is any trend with issues using the cart. I will optimistically say that what you experienced was a one-time quirky thing.

Can't wait to send you your copy!

Have a great Thanksgiving!

I get the below message when clicking on the link in the OP.

Bandwidth Limit Exceeded
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later.
Apache/2.2.23 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.23 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_bwlimited/1.4 Server at www.commonman.com Port 80

Edit: Well the link just worked for me. So it must have been busy earlier or something.

Sorry about that Greg!

Yes there was a period of time on Sunday when the site went down. Too much traffic seems to be the culprit. That's a testament to the power of BGG advertising! Changes have been made to support greater levels of traffic, but we will have to monitor this.

By the way, in this case we found out by other means, but it could have just as easily been seeing your post that alerted us to this problem, so please keep the feedback coming.

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving Holiday!
