I really like this game. I like the setup, the card based play mechanism, and the head-to-head feel of it.

As a result, I also adore 1989 which is very similar. I also really enjoy 1960: Making of the President.

I also enjoy Labyrinth, even though it is a bit different.

What are some other games like Twilight Struggle that I may enjoy?

Well, that hits all those I would suggest

Maybe Hannibal: Rome vs. Carthage?

+1 for that. The card play is similar and the way the battles work is similar to how the scoring minigame works in 1989.

You have to, at least from a distance, look as if you know what you're doing, and I can manage that.

Divided Republic is a highly recommended CDG set during the 1860 US election, that can play up to 4 players. Definitely worth checking out.

It was just released on November 20th, and I haven't gotten my copy yet, but Mr. Madison's War: The Incredible War of 1812 looks like a really fun card-driven wargame set during the war of 1812. Kingdom of Heaven: The Crusader States 1097-1291 is another really fun-looking CDG.

Keep in mind that both of these games are probably a bit more complex than TS, and have added wargame aspects as well.

edit: added a third recommendation.

Definitly try the second, I just as you wanted to explore more games with the same basic mechanic and the first game I picked up on was Paths of Glory and it is stunning.

After 15 sessions with twilight struggle, i convinced my gaming partner to play Hannibal: Rome vs. Carthage, this is an AMAZING CDG that you should try it. TS takes around 3 hours and hannibal 4-5 hours. Take it or leave it.
