We're kicking off a series of Friday-night GAME socials with some old-school analogue games, plus a few new ones you've probably never heard of. Come along and learn new tricks with new friends in our cafe over some drinks or food, every Friday up to Christmas. This Friday's social is curated by the Trinity Gamers Soc, and will include:

Carcassone
Apples to Apples
Werewolves of Millers Hollow
Magblast
Munchkin
Kill Dr. Lucky
Robo Rally
And many more -- see you there!

Location:
Science Gallery Cafe
Admission:
Free!

Think I'll drop in and check it out.

I had the same question until I read "Trinity Gamers Soc." so I think is safe to assume that yes, it's in Dublin

Would be good to mention it in the title at least though

Cheers Jerome, should be a bit of fun!
Seems to be running every Friday up to Christmas, so if anyone is travelling to Dublin from further afield it might be a good opportunity to meet up for a game.

Friday, November 30, 2012 - 18:00 - 20:00

Come and join us at for an evening of boardgames of exploration and discovery. From settlement of new continents through developments of empires around the 7 wonders of the world and all the way into space, we'll be seeking adventure and discovery wherever we can find it! Games for a wide variety of tastes and ages will be available to play, whether you want to spend two hours developing strategy or see how many quick games you can fit into one evening - this will be the place to be!

Expect games like:

Settlers of Catan - settle new lands and develop the best economy
Carcassone - develop a strange realm between entrepreneurial landowners
Forbidden Isle - discover the secrets of the forbidden isle and rescue the treasures before it sinks
Talisman - seek the deepest mysteries of the fantasy world (and get there before your friends)
Munchkin Quest - foiling the monsters and stabbing your friends (or is it the other way round) will bring mayhem in the boardgame version of the dungeon discovery game
7 Wonders - develop new empires based around the 7 wonders of the ancient world
Small World - play through the rise and fall of civilisations as races such as "ransacking homunculi" and "diplomatic pixies" develop and go into decline
Race for the Galaxy - rush to help your corporation build the best industry in space as you develop the planets to best turn a profit
and some surprises!

And on the side, there will be some quick games, including:
