Pandemic.

Nothing like bringing the whole family together to cure an airborne virus.

Thanks, though I must give credit to Dominion for creating the deckbuilding genre which I much love.

Chicago Express: Power Grid was a big hit last year, but this is a simpler (yet trickier) auction game that plays much faster. (Also helps that it's one of my favorites.) One of my cousins is a CPA and enjoys any kind of number-crunching, so that's also a plus.

Alien Frontiers: It seems light enough to appeal to my non-gamer-y family-- certainly the lightest worker placement game I own. Drawback is it only plays four.

Pandemic: Perpetual favorite with my sister and her fiance, who are the most likely to be at the table with us. And with the expansion it plays six.

Apples to Apples (with custom family related cards) to accompany my apple pie. Also...Blokus, Bohnanza and Monopoly Deal. My family aren't crazy game players. We'll probably just play Apples to Apples.

I took Martian Dice, Zombie Dice, Mmm Brains, & Monopoly Express to teach the grade school age kids. They enjoyed all of them, and I left my extra copy of Martian Dice with them to play. Saw them with some other kids that came later, and they were teaching them how to play.
