I've been interested in this game for a while but I've been holding off due to the price point vs how often it will hit the table.

However, I stumbled upon an oportunity to buy a bundle of the first edition games at a price that's hard to pass up.

Before I pull the trigger on it, I was hoping I could get some input on the differences between the two editions. Are there any major differences in component quality or rules?

The games I would be getting are:
Eastfront
Westfront
Eurofront
Medfront
Volgafront

If I were to buy those games, would I be missing out an anything vs just buying into the 2nd edition?

Thanks!
Kevin

I don't know how many changes there are between the first and second editions, but you can download the Eastfront II and Westfront II rules from the Columbia Games webstie.

Thanks! That'll certainly answer all of my rules changes concerns.

I read in another thread that there were some changes in the map size to incorperate parts of the expansion maps into the core game maps.
Other than that, have all the components remained more or less the same?
