It should be possible to play WW2 era scenarios (DYO) given that the charts show bolt action and smg etc...

the underlying theories have to be the same.

has anyone ever seen or thought about Russian/German WW2 squad OOBs?

Designer S. Craig Taylor seems to have thought about it, since he also designed Close Assault, the WWII progenitor of Firepower!

There was also a Depression-era bunch of scenarios published in the General pitting cops vs. robbers using shotguns, pistols, BARs, and Tommy Guns.
