This is my 3 year old, Jonah. He is ready and willing to play games, but it can be tough to find games he is able to really play.

I bought RttT for my other three kids. Only 1 is a reader and the idea of a cooperative game seemed a great way to build some partnership. They played once or twice, but then lost interest.

Jonah, however, ask for this by name and will even carry it around the house before we play.

The game is pretty simple. You draw a tile from a bag. It's either a path piece that you connect to the existing path to first collect keys and then to the treasure. The other tile is an Ogre tile. The Ogre has a straight path to the treasure, and whoever gets their first, wins.

The mechanics are simple, and he still needs a little guidance on how to build the path, but only a little.

Every time he plays, he says in a low sneaky voice, "Don't pick an Ogre." Even though we have yet to lose, it's a pretty easy game, he cheers each time.

The game is well made and the box and all components are both sturdy and look great.

This is a great game for a 2 or 3 year old. It teaches how to take turns and as a cooperative game, working together is a great bonding experience.

Hello Armin,

I suggest you to take a look at Obstgarten from HABA. Great Coop game where you need to harvest fruit from trees before a raven take them all an win the game. Easy to learn for a Child but deep enough to play even for an Adult. Perfect for Children with 3+ Age. Also other Games from HABA are well suited for children in this age.

Thanks for the suggestion. We have "Orchard" as it was released here. My older kids like that more.

I think it's the Ogre here that has caught my 3yo imagination.

Any other Haba suggestions are appreciated. We have quite 7 or 8 of their games, but any lesser know gems in their collection would be great to find.
