Hi all,

I was thinking about such an idea. I'd love to have a (computer) wallpaper with a RftG theme. (My dream is that it would be not a more or less direct copy of some cards, but just using some motives - say, the easily-recognizable Contact Specialist, or the lovely farm from Spice World etc.) I was just wondering, how much would it cost to commission one of the game artists to make it? I'd imagine that a few ones would be needed (say, one for 3:4 screen, one for 9:16 screen, and probably one for a (smart)phone screen - or, even better, two-three for each aspect ratio, possibly (partially) using the same graphics for the different aspect ratios). Assume that we find at least a few dozen people like me, who would be willing to donate $10 so that a professional artist could prepare such a thing and publish it, say, under a CC BY-NC-ND (or similar) licence. I guess that raising $500-$1000 would be quite imaginable this way. Would this be enough? How might this work technically? And, above all, are there indeed more people who would like to crowdfund such a project?

Well, it's quite nice, but not exactly what I had in mind. (And the aspect ratio is not that good.) But thanks anyway.

Yes, yes it is. It looks really good as one. On no . . . there's black . . . on the edges of the galaxy.

Well, it's nice - but for people like me who do not own a smartphone/tablet it's kind of useless...

A version of it can be downloaded as a wallpaper for a computer here:

I've made quick wallpaper without borders and cards, just planets. You can download it from here:

To answer your question that you originally posed... I would guess that with the amount of free non-professional creative images available that very few people would be interested in paying for something professional. If you look through all of the images under 'creative' for RftG and its expansions there are a lot of really good images, some even described as wallpaper, that many fans would be happy with.
