More confusion. The green 4 sided die seems to be very vaguely assigned. When you start on 54 handicap, you do not seem to have it, and the "what club can you play" guide on page 5 explicitly says it is for "advanced players" (without defining that term), though it does mention that it can be played from the rough. Why, when you can generally play a smaller club? Is that because of the exception on page 8 that says that you can never play the white 4 sided die from the rough? Presumably when you have the green 8 sider and the green 10 sider, you can play either 10 sider and either 8 sider from the rough?.

The golf club allocation chart on page 10 confuses me because it mentions the lie (which does not seem relevant other than for the 6-siders which only seem to be allowed from bunkers (another 'why?') ) and introduces spurious words. Thus we have the Fairway/Rough short 4 sided die. What has "short" got to do with it? Especially when the green 4-sider hits it longer than the white 4-sider. Does that just mean that it is for hitting shorter shots than the regular die for that lie? But isn't that a generic feature of always being able to use a smaller club, and nothing specific to that lie or that club?
