Does anyone else get the impression they should have made up of used different creature names? I don't mind the art style, but some of it seems to vary so much from what the name implies that it is jarring.

(also is "GOUHL") intentional?

The art is incredible so the naming isn't really bothering me.

The only ones that bother me are the spelling of GOUHL and the Goblins. They look more like velociraptor skitters than goblins.

Yes those were the most egregious!

I think the spelling "gouhl" is an unintentional error. The Goblins look like pterodactyls without membranes, but the other monsters don't bother me. I find the concepts actually refreshing, although they made me wonder if the art was really created for the game or recycled like in Thunderstone.

That's because they are the ancient ancestors of modern day goblins. Goblin creationists disagree with this theory but the fossil record shows the evolutionary path conclusively.

Glad every one is liking the art. I have pointed out the miss spelling. I have been told all names are not final. But I do not know what ones will change.

Hi Darrell,

The artists were told to break the mold so to speak. So we could get something different and exciting to look at. Not just your out of the box monster.

That's cool. Could you maybe then give them a out-of-the-mold name?
