In the Batman: Gotham City Strategy Game, each of the 4 playable Villains has a set of Villain Ability cards that they acquire as they level up. Villain Ability cards give the Villains unique abilities that make each character have a distinctive playstyle and strengths.

Today, we will look at the reptilian sewer-dweller-- Killer Croc!

Killer Croc's strength is...well, his strength-- out of all of the 4 playable Villains, Killer Croc excels the most in fights; but he has a few other tricks up his sleeve (err..scaly arms).

Killer Croc's unique affliction "Degenerating Aspect" turns him further from human and more reptilian over time-- making him a fearsome foe indeed. This ability allows Killer Croc to place a bonus 2 Threat on the map every time he advances a level.

Killer Croc is capable of taking down other Villains (and maybe even The Batman) in single combat-- without the help of any of his hired Henchmen. With his "Death Roll" ability, if Killer Croc is in a fight in a block that does not have any of his Henchmen, he gains a +2 modifier to his die roll.

With his ability to "Regenerate," if Killer Croc does lose a fight-- instead of going back to his Hideout (and then having to spend Information to move back onto the map)-- he may be placed in another (unoccupied) block.

As "King of the Sewers," Killer Croc has an entire tunnel system in which to quickly move around Gotham City. With this ability, the player controlling Killer Croc does not need to spend Information to move Killer Croc-- making the other Villains wary every time they walk over a manhole cover...

Killer Croc's special token ability (each Villain has an ability that will give them a special token to add to the game) is his "Killer Croc's Trap." Killer Croc's Trap token can protect a block for him-- by preventing other Villains and their Henchmen form moving into the block-- even while Killer Croc is away seeking other prey...

Stay tuned here for a look at the last and least (sane, anyway) Villain-- The Joker!

I always loved playing with the powerhouse characters in assymetrical games. And I can see the possibilities for Croc already. Man, this is awesome!
