.... but they are actually VERY little complaints....

1) Why does the Horde always begins first?

2) Shouldn't Shadowmeld add a Green Die rather than a Blue one in your opinion?

Bye,
Leo.

Green is defensive and Blue is offensive. The thought was that a Night Elf using Shadowmeld would launch a suprise attack, thus gaining a blue die.

Hmmmmm... I imagined that.... the point is that I would expect a Green die since I always use Shadowmeld when I do not want my Night Elf Priest to be seen by the bad guys.... That is why I consider it more "defensive" I guess that if I played a Rogue I would have been happy to see it tied to a Blue die

Anyway, Mike, you still did not answer to question #1: does anyone in FFg play a Horde character??

Bye,
Leo.

I have not got my copy of the game yet but i would imagine it has something to do with when certain events come up on the turn track. do more events happen on the alliance turn or the hord? is the a reason the alliance should go last?

Here in the Netherlands, we always say:

"Wit begint, zwart wint!"

Which actually means:

"White begins, Black wins!"

It's generally believed that the bad guys should go first. (don't ask me why) However, the Horde receive the first turn based on the popular belief that they are the "evil" faction. This is false, the Horde are not evil.

The nice Dutch rhyme is generally not true, just peptalk for the Black player (or an attempt of the Black player to intimidate the White player): playing White in chess is an advantage. I hope that the unbalance in chess doesn't apply to WOW.

Horde go first because going first is a sign of aggression, and Horde are more aggressive. At least, that's my best bet.

No offense, but neither the Horde nor the Alliance are evil. They both fight the Scourge and the Daemon Nefarian. Neither side wants the Plague to spread over Lordaeron, and neither wants Nefarian to release his daemons upon the World. That the Horde and Alliance dont see eye to eye is a mere detail....

The evidence is easy to see: in the Online game, the Argent Dawn (the principle faction opposing the Scourge and encouraging players to fight them) are a cross-faction organisation with both Horde and Alliance NPC's.

The Horde always goes first because The Horde = awesome! That is the only rationale you need.

Seriously though, The Horde are not "the bad guys." Technically that dishonor belongs to The Alliance. You can think of them as the Pilgrims, and The Horde as the Indians--in other words, throughout history, The Horde was completely screwed over.
