One hard drive ago, back when I was playing Thunderstone compulsively, I had bookmarked a neat little randomizer I very much liked for a couple reasons; it didn't try to match up cards (it was actually random), and; it ran in a browser (I don't cotton to your fancy new technologies).

It was on a tan sort of background and center justified. Unfortunately it could only spit out one game at a time. I know the creator had a thread talking about it, but I can't find it in a search because the results are buried in 23 pages of discussion the Intelligent offering.

Sometimes I just don't want the software to plan my combos / play the game for me but I'll be damned before I put those Randomizer cards back in my box.

Anyone spare me a link to that thing?

I don't think that's the one he's looking for Will.

Maybe this one will work: http://play-gamz.appspot.com/thunderstoneRandomizer.jsp

If you can read this, then this sentence is false.

There is this one:

http://play-gamz.appspot.com/thunderstoneRandomizer.jsp

But I don't think it's the one you're describing, and it hasn't been updated for Thunderstone Advance. I don't know of any other web-based randomizers.

Am I missing something or is there a way to turn off the "intelligence"? Or maybe you didn't read the post / get the point? That would be great if you could make it random because that application is packed with options the one I am looking for is not.

EDIT:

Oh, you know, I think that IS it. He changed the background, but yeah, I think that's the one. Thanks!

That's OK, I never bought Advance. My interest just evaporated after Heart of Doom.

Thanks again!

My mistake. I had to read through the main thread for it to see that it is deviating a bit from the official randomization rules.

Still, I only see this as a problem if it is discriminating within a particular group (e.g. if Thyrian is chosen at random, all food items now have an above-average chance of being chosen). If the only intelligence is that Dungeon Features might be suggested more frequently, that's easy enough to ignore (but that's my take; I only randomize heroes, village, and monsters; we choose other features by group consensus).
