So, I've been trying to up my amount of geekmodding to earn more GG.

When I approve something, but it ends up being declined, is there a way to see why it was declined by others?

I want to see what I missed when looking at the image, so that I can be a better geekmod.

Also why was this image approved?

when this is already in the game gallery?

*EDIT* Maybe this should be in "How to BGG." ?

If you have an image that was declined when you voted to approve and you don't know why, you can geekmail me and I will take a look.

I geekmod all the time and have decent success matching the approve/disapprove status of all items

Images tend to get declined because they show people and are in the "game" gallery or are "creative" and in the game gallery.

1) Make sure the image is in the correct gallery

The second biggest reason for rejection is glare or poor cropping/rotation.

2) Make sure the image is clear and with proper orientation

Using these two simple rules you will begin to achieve better than 90% image success.

Remember, people like to decline when geekmodding because it pays better.

Because GeekMod is incompetent and there isn't a system in place to remove duplicates or bad images once they have been approved to reverse bad decisions.

There is a good degree of subjectivity in most geek modding decisions.

What is a duplicate to some is not a duplicate to others; what is under exposed to some is ambient lighting to others.

My own percentage is well down.

I wouldn't worry about it but I commend you for it.

The data tab tends to do this.

Most if not all geekmodders go really fast, and don't pay attention to "similar image" I bet most don't even look at images already approved in the gallery.

Articles are usually modded on length alone.

I often wonder if videos and articles with a bunch of spam right in the middle would pass. I bet it would. This is why I don't geekmod videos anymore, and really only stick to images and articles.

I've found the geekmodders are particularly arbitrary rejecting items based on their own particular whim and unaware of guidelines.
