This rule book is a bit difficult here, it is the opposite of FFG with UNDERexplanation. In the market demands phase it says "if no generation EXISTS do nothing." the question is how are they defining existing? Does a generation of a train exist once a train of that type has been developed or does it exist when the initial orders die is in its box? I'm guessing it's the former not the latter. I hope so because that's how we're about to play it

A generation exists when a player owns its factory and it has one or more dice in its row.
