Well, another month has passed and time for the updated Rulebooks on your Table thread.

During this Christmas period are you re-visiting the Russian Winter or keeping to the deserts in North Africa? Perhaps you are heading to the South Pacific or tackling Mongol Invaders or the American Revolution?

Where in history (or future, or alternative history!) are your Rulebooks taking you this festive season?

My Briefcase:

and I'm getting ready for our reboot of the PBEM game for

p.s. does this count as a wargame? Or should I be reading up on my Axis & Allies: 1942

Just got the first two in a BGG auction. Flying Colors has just intrigued me. Looking for some Naval warfare to work on before Iron and Oak comes out.

The rulebooks currently on my table are:

Red Winter: The Soviet Attack at Tolvajärvi, Finland – 8-12 December 1939 and Here I Stand

Combat Commander: Europe which is not really the rule book, but the playbooks and scenarios of the series. I have recently hooked a real live opponent so I'm starting to put together my stuff to get him pulled in deeper!

I've also got Android: Netrunner and A Game of Thrones: The Card Game as I'm trying to get these to the table as well.

These are VASSAL games that I am playing. I don't have a full grasp on the games, so I will consult the rulebooks frequently:

Some time after the semeseter finishes, I will get my hands on

Finished the Basic Rules and the first intro scenario F2F. Heading into the Advanced Rules (although sticking with vehicles before adding leg units, artillery and airplanes)...

The light bulb came on half way through the rule book after the section on Indirect/Mortar Fire (page 19). I think I'm really going to like this one...

Trying to find time to schedule in OSC 4.1 Core Rules...

Too many rule books -- too little time. Stupid day job getting in my way.
