I bought Guns of August and liked the game well enough, but I ended up parting with it because of the board printing. The hex lines were so faint that it made it virtually impossible to see them and I thought the game was unplayable.

Could someone let me know if this is e case with Guns of Galacia?

The hexes are quite visible.
I kind of liked the faint lines on GoA. It looked great without the distracting lines.

Here is a picture from my play at our monthly war game meeting in November:

Yes, we got the lines to light in August, Galicia we made sure they were visible. In August we were trying to make the map look more like a map with the hex lines secondary, unfortunately it went to far.

For Galicia we were determined not to repeat the error.

All the best,
Grant

I actually did not mind the lines in GoA. I enjoyed the game so much, it just did not seem like an issue. In poor lighting I might have felt differently.
