Out with the shore and in with the south for MTV in 2013. Just as the cast of the "Jersey Shore" makes their final exit from MTV a new group of wild, reality TV stars are making their entrance. The Daily Mail reported on Sunday, Dec. 2., that "Buckwild" will be filling your Thursday night 10 p.m. time slot in January.

MTV is ready to clear the Shore house out for the last time, and ready to move a new bunch of wild young adults into your homes on Thursday nights. The new reality show "Buckwild" will focus on the lives of a group located in West Virginia and are hoping to become the new year's next big thing in reality TV.

The "Buckwild" cast will consist of nine residents from Sissonville, Morgantown, Charleston and Boone County, West Virgina, that are hoping to capture the attention across the country at the same rapid rate that the "Jersey Shore" cast have.

MTV has released a new trailer and warns viewers to expect loud and lewd behavior, raging arguments and sometimes incomprehensible Appalachian accents.

It is West Virginia, so dog vomit may indeed play a part.

It's fun, it's healthy, it's good exercise. The kids will just love it. And we put a little sand inside to make the experience more pleasant.

I would guess not - I'm pretty sure their state motto is "Telling the South to f**k off since 1861"

They certainly voted like us this past election.

The south generally doesn't consider West Virginia the south, but who is and who is not part of the south is highly debatable depending on where in the south you're from.

I think they are going more for backwards hick than anything else.

My favorite WV story.

I was in a doctors office in rural WV a few years ago. A Mom and her daughter (7-8 years old) were there and I heard the daughter say "where's the f**kin doc?"

Her mother's response was "I thought I told you never to talk that way outside the house" and smacked her.

Maybe they associate more with the "South," but I've always considered WV, Kentucky, and that area "Appalachia," rather than Dixie.

Pretty much everyone in Florida is from New York, Ohio or Michigan. Sometimes I think even the babies are smuggled in.

When I look at this new show, the thing that really kills me is that each of these folks is going to make a ton of money.

Political scientists generally consider "The South" to be made up of the states contained within the Confederacy, plus Oklahoma and Kentucky.

Well, they are south of the Mason-Dixon line, as is Maryland. It's really more Appalachia than anything else.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Good point.

I do live in Florida.

But I am from North Carolina.

And while many parts of Florida are very northern in their population and culture, huge pockets of deep south still remain.

Those are the parts tourists never go.

Tourist are smart enough to stick to the coast (and Orlando) venture far off that path and things get "interesting."
