Greetings fellow geeks! It's Monday! The weekend is now over, and as we toil at our assorted labors, we should recount our past weekend gaming exploits.

So, all you weekend gamers, bring your mini-session reports and stories of weekend gaming greatness, as you pop in here to answer the question:
What did you play this weekend?

The Geeklist version can be found here:

Thanks to our upcoming shutdown, over Christmas break, I got the pleasure of working both days of the weekend. Which meant I missed out on sages (a local gaming club), and gaming with friends.

I did get to surprise one of my good friends with his birthday present of Crude, which we played twice Saturday night. I also got in a game of Castles of Burgundy Friday night.

Sunday I did get to play a little bit of Dungeon Defenders with my son, which has been pretty enjoyable so far.

Got in some games of Tannhäuser.

I just received the Tannhäuser: Daedalus map supplement so I played some death match and objective based games in the labyrinth.

Friday after work-family game night at my church. We played 1 game of Apples to Apples and one game of Christmas Pictionary (which really was more like Win, Lose or Draw).

Saturday-I had an eye appointment, and was to busy doing other thing once I could see again.

Sunday-one game of Castle Panic.

) wife got him a copy of Way Out West shipped in from Belgium, the night we were going to play it time constraints kept it off the table. So instead a few rounds of JAB: Realtime Boxing until our early riser had toead out and then a 2 person 4 player game Ghost Stories: White Moon which we actually won handedly. Sure it lacked the sense of desperation that makes Ghost Stories and other coops like it hard, but winning is just fun.

Hopefully this weekend we'll be able to get the right group of people together to finally get Eclipse open and on the table.

Tomb - sometimes I like playing this game, and sometimes it just all goes wrong. This last session, there was some event that caused a shortage of people to recruit at the inn. So most of us had under-strength parties and it was an endless slog. Even so, I'd rather play a game than not play, so it wasn't all that bad. We followed up with King of Tokyo.

My wife and I got away for a couple of days without the kids to celebrate our Anniversary early. This means hiking, shopping, and playing games...

Thursday
1x - Agricola
1x - Castles of Burgundy

Friday
1x - Innovation - with Echoes of the Past expansion
2x - Race for the Galaxy - with The Gathering Storm expansion

We drove back on Saturday during which I puked my guts out from food poisoning. Fun. Great trip. We had an extremely busy weekend so no time for games.

meeple Keep playing...

At Thursday games club we played:
Alcatraz: The Scapegoat - It was our first game. We had a few rules queries that I couldn't answer on the spot. I'm not quite sure on this one - its odd that you're being mean to each other, and yet all except one of you escape together. Its a strange sort of tension.
Hanabi - We played two games of Hanabi, and really enjoyed it. Its very interesting how people signal to each other which cards to play, and when the best time is to tell someone what they had. This will definitely come out again.

No games at the weekend, but our camper van now has an engine.
