What do you guys think of the size of the cards? I was really looking forward to getting this game but after looking at the launch party video and seeing how huge the cards are Im not so sure I want it.
@MrLeeRobot I really wanted to go to the launch party ( only a 5hr drive), But because of everything going on for the holidays, I couldn't make the time. If I had it to do all over again I would go so that I made sure I would have the game for the holidays lol. Thank you about the collection. That reminds me I need to update my list a little. I am still in the phase of trying everything I can and deciding what I enjoy most:o)
I've looked at all the major sleeve manufacturers and have yet to find a company that produces a sleeve to fit this size of card. If someone knows of one please correct me.
I think I'll wait a month or so and if no one else has a solution I'll just laminate mine individually. It's not my preferred solution but there's absolutely no way I'm bringing this, a drinking game made of paper, to the table without some kind of protection.
I have already had two spills on my cards. And not just a minor drip or a card placed on a wet spot on the table. A whole beer in a mug was knocked over on the cards and after a few minutes of yelling we dried off the cards and they all seem fine. They are made out of a nice material, but yes I asked Jasn Painter about the sleeves on his kickstarter page and he said he is in talks with a third party to make sleeves and they will be sold on the drunkquest website, once it is finally launched.
If you are a resident of the UK, I found these on Amazon . They do the job pretty well as there is a little bit of space on either side of the card and at the top. Not enough to cause any issues though.
I think they are an American company so for all my fellow drunk questers across the pond, I am sure you will be able to pick some up on the internets or your local game/hobby shop.
Anyone have any luck on this, other than laminating? I'm running this game at a con in October and I'm a little leery of my cards getting ruined. It's not like this is an easy to find game to replace cards with.
