So, it looks there was a change in how red Secret Missions can be played? In the AH you couldn't play a Win a Battle Card and a red Secret Mission while on the FFG you can?

Sorry if this was (surely) discussed somewhere else,

All of the red secret mission cards are worth one point less to compensate. So while the rules changed, the victory points earned for accomplishing a secret mission didn't really change at all.

This was discussed also here:
Re: Which is better: FFG battle victory card with every win + secret mission cards, or AH's choice of victory card.

Good to know! I remembered though that there were some red 1VP secret mission in the original and thought there was no point to them (maybe I'm misremembering?).
And despite what was said on the other thread, I DO think it's easier to understand/play.

You're misremembering. All of them were at least 2.
