Just wanted to share my corvette with fans.

She is christened: Warden

I built it so it stands above the tallest current model. The post is expandable in case something taller comes along. I did this to allow for it to occupy the play area without causing a disruption in the play surface.

The firing arc lines denote left and right sides, with the V at the end denoting the engine blind spot. To be used with the Redeemer Rules.

Love it!

Was this a scratch built model, or an "Airfix" style one? How long to create and paint up?

Beautiful and practical. Well done.

I've always been one of the "opponents" of having to-scale large ships in the game because of how much of the play space they would block off, but this raised system to allow other ships to move onto it's base is a wonderful solution to that.

dont know exactly but the base is exactly 4"x15" as refrenece. IT hangs over the base in the front and back less than an inch on each side. The engine block is probalby about 7" wide..

The Base Template is a Great idea for the Arcs of Fire.

I have one of these models and will use the same idea.

Where did you get the base made, or was it a home arts and crafts project? Corsec has some "large" bases that I'm thinking of getting 2 of, and using their telescoping magnetic stands to attach with. I like the look of this better, especially with the firing arcs.

I have one of these corvette's floating around in a box somewhere. I'd love to repaint it and mount it up like this. Any guidance you can give on what paints you used, etc?

Strait up...

IT a a pice of 15x 4 balsa (the harder wood, forget the name) from michales with a 6" rod attache via a flat head screw. I drilled out the rod on the top to make a hole to insert the peg for the corvette.

I attached a small dowel under the corvette and stuck it in the rod..
