It's hard to blind shuffle these tiles as well as randomizing which side you use. Any tips?

Number both sides of them and roll dice.

Or, avoid numbering them, put them into a stack, and roll a die.
d10-1 => use the first tile face up
d10-2 => use the first tile face down
d10-3 => use the second tile face up
d10-4 => use the second tile face down

Shuffle/flip them in your hands with your eyes closed, then stack them on the table and draw from the bottom of the stack.

Seems to me the easiest way is to:
1. Close your eyes
2. Draw a tile at random
3. Flip and/or rotate it
4. Open your eyes and place the map.

Shuffle the tiles, flipping and rotating.

Flip top tile over onto the board, showing the hidden side
